The NAMI New Era Young Adult Advisory Council is a dynamic group of passionate young leaders (ages 18-30) in Northeast Florida, dedicated to transforming mental health advocacy, education, and support for their generation.
Rooted in the NAMI mission, this council serves as a bridge between young adults and mental health resources — amplifying youth voices, fostering community empowerment, and promoting stigma-free conversations around mental wellness.
Together, we are shaping a new era of mental health awareness in which every young adult feels seen, heard, and supported.
The NAMI New Era Council meets on 2nd and 4th Mondays, at 6:30 pm, via Zoom.
The GroupMe App is required for participation in the NAMI New Era Council.
For more information on the New Era Council and/or to join, contact Dominique Barron, Program Coordinator, at D.barron@namijax.org.
The 2025 NAMI New Era Officers are a team of committed individuals who bring fresh perspectives, lived experience, and visionary leadership to these roles. They will guide the council’s initiatives, elevate youth-driven advocacy, and continue building an inclusive, supportive network for young adults navigating mental health journeys.
