NAMI Peer-to-Peer Course is a free, 8 session educational program for adults with mental illness who are looking to better understand their condition and journey toward recovery. Taught by a trained team of people who’ve been there, the program includes presentations, discussion and interactive exercises. Everything is confidential, and NAMI Jacksonville never recommends a specific medical therapy or treatment approach.
NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a safe, confidential space. The course provides an opportunity for mutual support and growth. Experience compassion and understanding from people who relate to your experiences. This is a place to learn more about recovery in an accepting environment.
Nami Peer-to-Peer helps you:
NAMIWalks is NAMI's oldest fundraising program, and it enters 2025 as one of the nation's Top 30 Peer-to-Peer events for the fifth straight year. Throughout 2025, more than 190 community Walks will be hosted by NAMI State Organizations and NAMI Affiliates from coast to coast. NAMIWalks promotes awareness of mental health and reduces stigma, raises funds for NAMI’s free mental health programs, and builds community and lets people know they are not alone.
